Ages ago I saw Iron Maiden and Barenaked Ladies at the same arena in the same week. I remember wondering how many other people there were at both shows. Your post reminded me of that.

Halfway there! It wasn't even a great Maiden show. It was right after A Matter of Life and Death came out. They played it front to back then a 4 song encore of older stuff. I feel like they need to tell you that up front.

DMB - Don't know if we'll actually get a new album this year, but I've read they've been in the studio. Fingers crossed
Pearl Jam - GIGATON - It's been a long time! Love DotC and 2 months isn't that far away.
RHCP - Frusciante's back and I couldn't be more excited!
GN'R - Same as DMB - Much bigger longshot given their history, but fingers are also crossed here.
Clutch - Most dependable band ever as far as consistency of albums released since I got into them back in 2006.

I'd have to do a little more digging to see if there's anything else. There'll also be Live releases and show downloads to get.

I know Metallica is planning to release S & M 2, but I'm not a fan of the Symphony stuff.
I never liked the first one and saw the 2nd one in a theater and am still "Meh" about it. Glad I passed on going. Whew.
Happy for those that did enjoy it and are looking forward to it though!

Still, if my Top 3 favorite bands all put out an album this year, 2020 will be my favorite year since 2002 for music. A GN'R release would be icing on the cake. :)

  • The Boss is pissed off, so he had to get the band back together, to record, and tour. Church.
