I've wondered this as well. I recall that you had to buy a special ticket through the Cubs.com site to get the record. The cheapest ticket option was around $35. I bought 2 tickets and got 2 records. The records were distributed before the game outside of the ballpark and there really weren't that many people in line for them and it wasn't like they had cases of them at the table either. It definitely wasn't a freebie that was handed out at the game. If it was a freebie then it would be easy to know since those usually state  something like "first 10,000 fans". I also seem to recall there was a brief sale of them on the Third Man site. I could be wrong on that. If I had to venture a guess I would probably say it's actually a pretty low number out there. I'd venture to guess it's 2000 or less. For example, if you look at Discogs under Benaroya it shows that 354 people have it in their "own" list and we know only 2000 were made. If you look at the Eddie Vedder "All the Way" single only 130 people have it in their "own" list. We all know how many completist collectors are out there. I'm just saying that if there were thousands of these things out there then a lot more PJ collectors would have logged this as an "have" item on discogs.
