    Not from experience, sorry. I booked Leonardo hotel at main station which is close by. The city seems well booked on the day

    Leonardo Hotel Frankfurt City Center
    one subway ride from venue.next to central  train 
    station to get train for berlin next day

    The tram stopped running that night because of an accident or something. Should be okay this time.

    Hotels booked for Frankfurt, Berlin, Copenhagen, Vienna, Krakow, Budapest, Zurich and Amsterdam.  If Paris turns out not to be a festival I'll do that one too, otherwise will pass.
