Just Pearl Jam closing the spectrum 10 years today and Foals a few years ago in phillyPearl Jam was of course great. Foals was decent. Live they are great but this show was a little underwhelming. I thought they would have done something "Halloweenish" like a cover or dress up. The stage was decorated though.

I've seen Aerosmith on Halloween (1987 in Providence), Motley Crue (Nikki Sixx came out in his old SATD makeup) at the Orpheum in Boston Halloween 1998 (kind of ironically saw Rob Zombie in Worcester at the Palladium the following night on 11/01) and U2 in Providence Halloween 2001 (also Larry Mullen's 40th birthday).
Think that's it for Halloween shows

I've seen Rob Zombie a couple of times. I have always left bruised, so I couldn't imagine seeing him on Halloween. That had to be awesome.Poncier said:I've seen Aerosmith on Halloween (1987 in Providence), Motley Crue (Nikki Sixx came out in his old SATD makeup) at the Orpheum in Boston Halloween 1998 (kind of ironically saw Rob Zombie in Worcester at the Palladium the following night on 11/01) and U2 in Providence Halloween 2001 (also Larry Mullen's 40th birthday).

Saw Arcade Fire billed as "The Reflektors" in 2013. My favorite Halloween show was the following year, with Queens of the Stone Age headlining the Forum, and reuniting with Nick Oliveri for their encore.

That show was opened by Monster magnet and Fear factory. The palladium in Worcester is an old theater (formerly EM Loews Theater) that has had the seats removed. My wife is very small (sub 5', sub 100lbs) so right in the fray isn't an option with her. Fortunately this place has the area right behind what essentially becomes the pit elevated a foot or so and with a railing at the front of it (would have been second section of orchestra seats when the place had chairs), and its only about 20-25 feet back, so while everyone headed down front, we headed right there. Good close vantage point and no bruising.deadendp said:

Seeing Tool come out dressed as Zeppelin & open with No Quarter is a top ten concert moment for me, in almost 3 decades worth of going to shows.

The first time we saw him was in 99 for Ozzfest in Columbus. He told people to grab a hunk of lawn and throw it at your neighbor. They did. There was no lawn left and but there was much bruising.
Second time was a few years ago at Riverbend in Cincy. They had an inflatable alien surfing to the back. Sold out crowd. I had my phone in my left hand, reached up with my right to give the alien a whack and next thing I knew, I was on the ground with a very apologetic guy on top of me, no phone in sight. A lady must have caught my phone. She returned it. He really didn't mean to take me out. He was drunk and lost control of his surroundings. He felt so bad. I left with bruises. Many of them. And...we were at the very back. We had our daughter with us. We didn't want her in the middle of a RZ pit.

The moment they came out dressed and played No Quarter was the best moment for sure! Following up with the Grudge, Parabol/Parabola (those hadn't been played since the Lateralus tour at the time) right after made it an incredible show for me!Merkin Baller said:iammine16 said:

We took my son, 14 at the time, to see Zombie & Manson last summer, no way we'd do pit. It was at an amphitheater (Comcast Center in Mansfield) and they took the first 12 rows of seats out in center section to create a GA area, got seats right next to the GA area, 6 rows back, pit didn't appear too bad actually, probably cause the audience is aging (except for me of course). But in the day saw some crazy stuff in the pit (especially 2 times we saw him on double bill with Korn).deadendp said:Poncier said:
