It seems an awful lot like someone in PJ, doesn't make it very fun to be in PJ.
Why, because they‘d rather announce it on their own terms?
Because it sure seems like Jeff posted something, then got a phone call to pull it.
It was that Otis guy who posted it. Either way they wouldn’t be recording if it wasn’t fun :)

Wait till Otis sees us! He loves us!
Because he‘s one of us! 10C!

So, only Neil Youngs parts left to add before release?

Damn it if we keep the fans who made us millionaires a hundred times over the slightest hint of what we're up to professionally.  We owe them nothing!

Man, people getting real bent out of shape with the band or management wanting to keep things a surprise.

    My take:

What started originally as a strong desire for privacy over the years morphed into what is now a strict code of secrecy. I understand wanting to maintain tight control of your business, and I don't fault the band for wanting to control who knows what and when. But...as a fan it is frustrating at times.

Right? It's been 6 years since the last album, so who knows how many fits and starts they've had writing new stuff. Just extra pressure.

They keep everything a secret until the last moment.  They push back albums.  They push back tours.   They change their minds last minute.  They can’t announce anything until the point of no return.

If they miss deadlines, the fan base is let down. Better to keep info under wraps, finish when it is ready after so long rather than rush it for a tour like U2 did for Pop. I’m sure Eddie has had lots of conversations with artists about this and knows what he’s doing.

Why single out Eddie in this context...

He is the leader of the band.
