hair loss products

So I've been using Nioxin brand shampoo for the last twelve years or so. It seems I've always had a bit of a high hairline, at least starting in my ;ate teens/early twenties. I'm 36 now and there is some light thinning up top. Baldness does not run in either side of my family, but thinning is inevitable. My question is, what other topical products (shampoos, tonics, etc.) seem to help regain hair loss, even minimal. I'm not entirely sure what effect my shampoo is having. And I don't want to take any pills. The hair loss so far is hardly noticeable except to me and my hair stylist, really.

I don't believe there is really anything clinically proven to be that effective.

Products like Rogaine will retain hair longer than not using it, but it typically doesn't re-grow hair.

Some of the advancements in medical research are pretty amazing, but it seems like something like re-growing hair wouldn't be too tough to tackle.

    Guess not.

I have a full head of hair and at 28 I'm still maintaining it all. I don't really have a family history of baldness, but I just worry about losing my hair. Wrinkles don't bother me, I just think that losing my hair would be horrible! hahaha

Yeah except I look really bad with no hair. And I'm not a big hat guy.

If possible, try to cut out stress.. I went from a stressful job, to a relaxed job 6 months ago.. My hair was beginning to recede, and now its about back to my youth state. Also eat healthy and massage your scalp to get the blood flowing.. thats all the advice I can give.

None whatsoever. Just like 'wrinkle' creams. All marketing ploys.
