Yes, Cleveland won that year.  The only year out of 4 Finals series they played against Golden State.  It took a Draymond Green suspension and a legendary performance by an all-time great to get their 1.  It is my opinion, and my opinion alone, that a full-strength Golden State team, without Kevin Durant and LBJ not going nuclear would have the Warriors winning at least 4 championships in a row.  It is a fact that Golden State won 3 of out 5 years.  However, I think some things had to go right for the other 2 teams (Cleveland and Toronto) to knock them off in the other 2.  The only way the Dubs got bested was because of circumstance.  Yes, this is all a part of sports.  Just like Jose Mesa blowing a save against the Marlins, when the Indians had that World Series nailed down and Cleveland in my eyes was the better team.  All I am saying is that you don't always have to be the better team, to win a game or a series.  I apologize for diverting so far away from the topic of baseball.

If i remember the GSW had a 3-1 lead in that Series Geen got suspended? If so, Green or not you can't blow a 3-1 lead.

Like Mrussel1 said the Cavs missed K Love for the whole Series one year and Kyrie Irving only played one game and that went 6 games. I think the Cavs win that year(2016?)

Man, those are good questions. Not sure i can name just one player as my all time Fav.
2015 Love dislocated shoulder in the Celtics series, and then Kyrie breaks his kneecap in game 1 of the Finals, and it goes 6.
2016, GS goes up 3-1, Green suspended game 5 or 6, can't remember.  Cavs win in 7.  Durant joins for 17 and 18.  So, the Cavs go 6 without Love and Kyrie in 15, and in 16 win 3 games with Green on the court.  So I don't know how one can say that the Cavs don't win in 16 if Green isn't suspended.  Maybe GS doesn't win in 15 if Kyrie and Love play.
I’ll agree to disagree on this discussion about GS and Cleveland.
I wish I was a sacrifice, but somehow still lived on.

Growing up - David Justice, no real reason. In my 12 year old mind, David Justice was the enemy.
Recent - Christian Yelich.  I reeeeally want to like him but ain't gonna happen so long as he's a  Brewer.
All-time - Ryan Braun.  Fuck Ryan Braun.
Hell, some Braves fans disliked Justice. A lot of them forgave him when he hit the homer to win game 6 against Cleveland in 1995. Personally, I was jealous of him being married to Halle Berry.

Players I hated on my own team:

Jose Guillen, Neifi Perez, Vin Mazzaro, Yuniesky Betancourt, Kyle Davies, Juan Gonzalez (who barely played for the Royals in 2004)

I was introduced to BB at Fenway Park a long time ago.  I fell in love with baseball.  Moved to Philly area and became a Phils fan.  Yes I changed allegiance, hard to believe from a Boston fan I know.  :)  Current favorite, Aaron Nola, if I have to pick one.  All time, damn, too hard.  I love Pete Rose and 100% believe he should be in hall of fame.  At different periods of time, there was Dwight Evans, Carlton Fisk, Ted Simmons, Doug Glanville, Chase Utley, Bobby Abreu, Dale Murphy.  At one point, it was even  the entire Philadelphia Phillies roster.  :)
Don't come closer or I'll have to go

One of the reasons why I started this thread, is because I think out of all the major sports baseball still holds the most sentimental value.  So many who hold baseball in high regard can share an experience that made a lasting impression on the rest of their life.

Back on topic though. I know its a childhood thing as well, but I really liked the Icon players from the 80s and early 90s

    George Brett
    Robin Yount
    Cal Ripkin
    Ryne Sandberg
    Tony Gwynn
    Ozzie Smith
    Rickey Henderson
    Wade Boggs
    Mike Schmidt
    Kirby Puckett
    and so on.

Outside of Henderson and kind of Boggs.  I think a lot has to do with going mostly coast to coast with 1 franchise.  Nowadays that is the exception.
not on topic.   I should be allowed back in if this gets through.
