Glorified KCGlorified KC KCMO Native Posts: 2,495
Happy Friday!  This week I am going with the song title, "Run." If there's not a band or artist listed that you feel should be, please feel free to bring it up!
  • Foo Fighters - Released as a single in 2017 off of their album, "Concrete and Gold"
  • Snow Patrol - Released as a single in 2004 off of their album, "Final Straw"
  • Hozier - Released in 2014 on his self-titled album
  • AWOLNATION - Released in 2015 as a single off of their album, "Run"
  • Gnarls Barkley - Released in 2008 as a single off of their album, "The Odd Couple"
  • Vampire Weekend - Released in 2010 as a single off of their album, "Contra"
  • Collective Soul - Released in 1999 off of their album, "Dosage"

I wish I was a sacrifice, but somehow still lived on.

I actually prefer Eyes Open as a whole record. But with Run and Chocolate it definitely has my number one and another top ten song!

I love everything before Eyes Open (Songs for Polarbears, When It's All Over We Still Have to Clear Up, Final Straw).  I really enjoy Eyes Open too, but their first three records are so good.

They’re definitely more adventurous which I like. Plus some of the most ridiculous song titles  They’re one of my all time favorite bands. And they‘re so good live as well! Just saw them again in January

My wife and I saw them too a little over a decade ago, just after Eyes Open came out.  They were her favorite band at that time.

Oh, good grief. There's waaaay too many "Close But No Cigar" songs that I can list off the top of my head:

    Slade - Run Runaway
Bryan Adams - Run To You (his best tune)
Pink Floyd - Run Like Hell
U2 - Running To Stand Still
Bruce Springsteen - Born To Run
The Beatles - Run For Your Life
Sheryl Crow - Run Baby Run
Tom Petty - Runnin' Down A Dream
Wings - Band on the Run
Iron Maiden - Run To The Hills
Van Halen - Runnin' with The Devil
    Eagles - The Long Run
The Rolling Stones - Turd on the Run
Guess Who - Running Back To Saskatoon (I only know this one because of PJ)
    Soul Asylum - Runaway Train

You gotta move fast (i.e., run) to be a Rock N Roll Star.

My favorite out of the CNBC this week would have to be Van Halen's "Runnin' with the Devil." Although "Band on the Run" and "Runnin' Down a Dream" are very close runner ups.

Yep. It's playing in the intro when Kristen (played by Tuesday Knight) walks up to the girl who's drawing a house on the pavement.

They’re definitely more adventurous which I like. Plus some of the most ridiculous song titles  They’re one of my all time favorite bands. And they‘re so good live as well! Just saw them again in January
The chances of there being a poll to decide the best song called "Get Balsamic Vinegar... Quick You Fool" are pretty remote!
    “Do not postpone happiness”
    (Jeff Tweedy, Sydney 2007)

“Put yer good money on the sunrise”
    (Tim Rogers)

God I hate the 1980's...well, most of it.
Yes, I guess there's irony that I chose a "Run" from 1989 (New Order).
Edit: My apologies if you are a fan of this song. I usually try to be more diplomatic about these sorts of things but those keyboards!!!!!!!
