He didn’t want to testify at all. He telegraphed that months ago. Sane democrats didn’t want him to testify either...they just wanted to let it go. The problem is the far-left base and the Halifax’s of the world who demanded it, so convinced that testimony would nail Trump once and for all. Well Halifax got his wish and it totally backfired. Mueller’s reputation is all that held this nonsense together and today it took a massive hit. Trump emerged far stronger from this hearing and as an added bonus the racism charges just dropped off the front page. It was a terrible day for the resistance and the regular democrats who just want to get rid of Trump at the ballot box can thank Halifax and his squad for 4 more years.
I doubt that. If anything, Mueller stayed very neutral which downplayed the theory he was a partisan hack. Trump supporters will claim vindication, as Democrats will claim that Trump and his associates were heavily involved in questionable, if not illegal behaviour. For the independents, who will be crucial in the next election, Trump has come off as a man of very questionable morality. Overall, I fail to see how this helps Trump in any way.
Yeah I think It only helps Trump with the people who get their news from memes and viral sound bites but those dopes are already with him. While Mueller seemed older and stumbled his answers a bit, I think any rational person would agree that he came off as genuine and fair.

The bottom line is anyone who read the report (or at least the summaries) and watched this hearing today should come to the conclusion that Trump is guilty of obstruction of justice and would likely be facing jail time if he was not president.

So I think the dems need to continue on. I actually agree with Pelosi in that they need to wait until they have their strongest hand to push for impeachment hearings. They need to force people to testify and they need to obtain the tax returns.

By the way---Adam Schiff's last five minutes were really, really strong. Best five minutes of the whole day.

My thoughts...  no one can accuse the Democrats and Mueller working in cahoots for the last month to taking down Trimp, at least lord I hope not .... not sure how Democrats could have seen that hearing going any way other then it did based on their inside knowledge of Mueller.  I can’t believe they decided to push this to this point ... Pelosi needs to cease control after this or 2020 will be a fractured attack to take back the White House ...

Seize control or cease control? If the latter, who do you think should be speaker? I think she gave the rabble rousers in the caucus the chance to move public opinion on impeachment and it probably failed.  Now her strategy of oversight and legislation should be the way forward into 2020

But Trump said it was a disaster and he is man of his word. Much more believable than that partisan hack Mueller and his gang of angry democrats.

I was watched on dvr about two hours behind. When I finished I was like “well that was pretty good. Wish they got more out of him but they got what they needed.” Then I hop on twitter and here and elsewhere and it’s like a different world. Pretty crazy how social media can change the perception of things.

Bottom line is they got him in the report and under oath stating he likely would’ve been charged had he not been the president and that he can be charged after he leaves office. Got him to say he was not exconerated. Did a good job of going over the three main areas of obstruction. The Intelligence committee did a great job of showing all the collusion that happened and they made it a point to say that while they were not able to prove a crime beyond a reasonable doubt, they definitely showed a lot of wrong doing. And I think Schiff made it clear that just not committing a crime should not be the expectation that we set for anyone , let alone the president.

I also dvr’d all three network news shows because that’s what more people are watching instead of. The cable stuff. I think they covered it pretty fairly.

It was nice not to be beholden to the twitter echo chamber and I was able to form my own opinion before logging online. Normally I’m following along in real time with twitter reactions and stuff. Yesterday was kind of old school. It was quite refreshing!

I watched about 45 minutes and found it pretty entertaining.

    Here's what I saw:
Republican: "What is your response to this comment on page X?"
Mueller " What page was that? What comment were you referring to? On what page again? Let me go to the bathroom so I can stall some more and waste your 5 minutes. I don't have any comment about that."

    Time's up, next person.

    Democrat ""Isn't X Y and Z true?"
Mueller "Yes, I can confirm everything you say."

    Repeat about 15 times.

I listened to the CSPAN broadcast at work and while I wished I could have watched, having read the Team Mueller Report, there were no surprises. And if you read the report and his mandate, you’d understand why the hearings weren’t great tv. Something a particular poster clearly didn’t get.

Its in the congressional record and the house needs to answer the questions that Team Mueller wouldn’t or couldn’t answer. The truth will set us free.

Now her strategy of oversight and legislation should be the way forward into 2020
Man, at this point my spelling is dictated by the ghost of Steve Jobs and his Apple minions.  Don’t have the time to go through every post and proof read it like I’m turning in a term paper when Stevie is changing every other word I type.  Although I probably did fuck that one up on my own ...

I think the jobs report is the biggest thing that grabs people's attention more than anything else....and even more so now because of Trump's stupid short term thinking way of always touting them when they're good. They're not always gonna be good....
