Interesting to see the Twins actually scoring against the Yankees and keeping leads. They have been their crux the past 20 years, woefully in the post season.

Yankees lack star pitching, but who are they going to get on the market? Stroman's name is floating a lot, but he's more of a number 2 at best or a top tier 3. I think Boyd would be their strongest play. He'd really benefit from that lineup support and brings some punch. Shouldn't cost much either. Wheeler is probably more of a stretch.
    It's a hopeless situation...

Haha! Always fun to open a pack of cards and see oil can Boyd. Decent enough pitcher.

Where will the Yankees be without this offense? And the Twins without their homers? I know hrs don't necessarily equate to wins (Seattle). But that's really the difference for the Twins compared to last year

What a finish? I don't think you're gonna want to face these Twins in the playoffs

Crazy ass game. Twins blew it. Bases loaded and no outs and all they got was the tying run on a fly out with their best hitters and Chapman throwing pitches like a drunk playing darts at the bar.

Remember when Oil Can went off the reservation when he didn't get picked for the All Star game? (1986 I think).
I was working a summer job with a painting crew and we were heading home after working a long day and cutting through Chelsea to avoid traffic and we saw this guy on the sidewalk who looked like Can having an animated conversation with someone. We said, can't be him cause it was less than an hour till game time and he would have been at Fenway. Find out later that night he had done his disappearing act due to the AS snub and sure enough it was him, Chelsea turned out to be where he bought his crack apparently.
    This weekend we rock Portland

    Hard to imagine.

The Can was an amusing son-bitch, though.

    Where is the big trade?
A lot of teams are still in the playoff race. And all trades have to be made by July 31st. No more August trades through waivers
