New Album/Tour/PJ30My speculation: The 11th studio album will be out in the Fall of 2019, followed by a World Tour (Australasia, Europe, North America).

Avocado/Riot Act-esque politically charged album in the spring + a bigger than usual american tour with a "vote for change" theme.
I think it will be an active 2020 - US-wise.0 -

So, not a bad idea to remind people."Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"0 -
Vault # 9I totally get why people feel like Pearl Jam is laying dormant in terms of new music being released as well as the hopefully forthcoming remaining 10C Holiday Singles/DEEP Magazine issues, but to call a band that played 7 (if I'm counting correctly) massive Stadium shows just last year, not to mention raising 11+ million dollars to fight homelessness in their hometown, all while making innumerable contributions to local charities and causes along the way, not "active" might be just a shade misleading. Like most of us, I miss the regular rotation of album-tour-album-tour cycling that used to come back around every 3 years or so. But these guys all have families now, not to mention lives of their own. They've certainly paid their dues and then some with the amount of music they've given us thus far, so if they want to slow-roll it now I have no problem. Definitely frustrated about the Holiday Singles, but if I'm being honest, they've haven't exactly been punctual with those even at the height of their activity. I remember seeing Ed at the Cobb Center in Atlanta in '09 in June and even then he joked about how he promised they were going to get around to releasing our (as of then) still unshipped 10C singles.0

Is there a comparable of a band slowing down in their 50s without mentioning it's by design? 26 shows in 40 months is a dramatic slowdown, despite that great run of 26. Well stadium shows are not exactly great.
Compare their recent touring output to other top rock acts...u2 foos metallica etc...no comparison.0 -
