I didn't like The Odds until I heard Wendy Under the Stars off their first album. It still reminds me of being a punk kid in Calgary in the 90's and discovering that not all other music was terribleeeriepadave said:The OddsPretty popular in Canada but no so much in the states and elsewhere. Thanks for posting! I haven't hears Anna is a Speedfreak in AGES!I saw Rusty in 1995 at Red Deer College - it still is one of the most remembered shows I've been too. It may be nostalgia but I remember it being super energetic and fun. Wonder what ever happened to both those bands.rummy said:

I really dug Jesus Jones back in the day. Had Liquidizer on freakin cassette before Doubt was released. The Devil You Know is one of the greatest songs they ever wrote, imo. It's amazing when you go back and listen to them now, the music can be a bit dated but Mike Edwards wrote some really sublime lyrics that hold the test of time. Perverse was my favorite album of theirs, and one of the first CD's I ever owned.Star Lake 00 / Pittsburgh 03 / State College 03 / Bristow 03 / Cleveland 06 / Camden II 06 / DC 08 / Pittsburgh 13 / Baltimore 13 / Charlottesville 13 / Cincinnati 14 / St. Paul 14 / Hampton 16 / Wrigley I 16 / Wrigley II 16 / Baltimore 20 / Camden 22 / Baltimore 24 / Raleigh I 25 / Raleigh II 25 / Pittsburgh I 250 -

The albums Woman’s Gotta Have It and Handcream for a Generation by Cornershop are both absolutely fantastic. I revisit both frequently.0

I have their first album, Fire of Freedom - 1996. I was really into them. Met them all after their performance on Sandy Hook and they were all really cool guys - we got them beers during the show. I don't know if they were big outside of NY metro and Ireland, but they sold out the NYC clubs.
They played their last show in 2014.
My fave song -https://youtu.be/Q3p_6bd8q7o
