I still call it Comiskey or US Cellular. I'm not saying "Guaranteed Rate Field" because that sounds fucking DUUUUUUUUUUUMB!!! It's the White Sux tho so what do you expect?

We visited Comiskey last year for a game. Really cool place. I loved how they have the home plate and base lines for the old park laid out next door.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

There's a car wash on Grand Ave that has photos of all the old baseball parks in Chicago. They used to play at Grant Park, and at the horse race track. Between the Sox & Cubs they have had something like 8 different ballparks in the city.0 -
People usually call it “The Cell” or Comiskey. I’m yet to hear anyone call it G Rate Field, but who the hell knows. Only time I’ll go there is when they play the Cubs and even then I prefer not to.0

Comiskey, I think is just ok. I like the bar they have under right field-stands , level with the playing field. Thought that was pretty cool. Other than that, meh. The pizza they serve in the concessions makes Little Ceasers seem appetizing. The area around the Stadium is pretty lame as well. No night life it seems. Just ride in for the game and ride out.
Wrigley is way better experience imo. Plus they have plastic helmets filled with nachos.

I thought new Comiskey was nothing but a concrete jungle filled with lollipops or pinwheels scattered around the outfield. Wrigley is pretty bad ass.I'll ride the wave where it takes me......0

As long as there isn’t a giant I-beam blocking your view Wrigley is OK ... And you don’t mistake the sinks for urinals.
I prefer the newer stadiums for attending games and the old stadiums for watching on TV. I think Comisky was built just prior to the stadium evolution set by Baltimore’s new (now kinda old) Camden Yards.Be Excellent To Each OtherParty On, Dudes!0 -
Camden Yards is my favorite but the secret gem out there is PNC in pittsburgh. Oh my god that stadium is gorgeous (been to 15 stadiums).I'll ride the wave where it takes me......0

Top 3 Parks I would want to visit:
1.)Oracle-Love the Bay
2.)Minute Maid -sad they leveled Tals Hill
3.)PNC-Love the overhead shots with the river and bridge
of course Fenway, but that goes without saying.

I’ve been to 30 MLB parks...includes defunct parks, so I am missing a dozen or so current parks. I missed Tiger Stadium and original Comisky.
I have a clear top-4...
1. Fenway.
2. Wrigley
I love these monuments to urban history. I might prefer a modern park for a home park because of comfort and amenities but I just love these places for a visit.
3. Pittsburgh. The skyline view is amazing and the atmosphere around the stadium was better than expected.
4. San Francisco. Love the look at the bay.
Most of the other modern ballparks are nice but hard to distinguish in terms of ranking.
As for the current White Sox park, it was the last MLB ballpark opened before Camden. It was functional but sterile. A number of years ago, the reduced the giant upper deck and replaced the sterile blue seats with darker green. This remodel was a nice improvement.1995 Milwaukee 1998 Alpine, Alpine 2003 Albany, Boston, Boston, Boston 2004 Boston, Boston 2006 Hartford, St. Paul (Petty), St. Paul (Petty) 2011 Alpine, Alpine

I would have loved to get to the old Yankee Stadium. Never made it unfortunately.0

To keep thread integrity, it has never been a secret that The Ricketts are huge Trumpsters and highly involved with the RNC so I don't see that having any impact on them playing Wrigley again.0 -
I remember calling it "New Comiskey" when the new one opened. It was terrible timing as they went modern with the design and then Camden Yards and Jacobs Field came after it and Comiskey had no soul in it. I think the improvements they have made to it were great though and a nice place to see a game.0

Saw the Yankees beat the Red Sox in July 2003 at the old Yankees stadium with my dad and then we hopped the train to get back to Philly to see Pearl Jam that evening. What an awesome day.

I went to opening week in 2014. It was brutal cold and I didn’t dress properly, so I was forced to shell out like $100+ for a blanket and winter hat. I still where the hat in the winter and I’m not even a fan and get shit for it all the time. I don’t care though. I’m getting my motherfucking $50 out of that shit. Most times I just turn it inside out.Detroit 2000, Detroit 2003 1-2, Grand Rapids VFC 2004, Philly 2005, Grand Rapids 2006, Detroit 2006, Cleveland 2006, Lollapalooza 2007, Detroit Eddie Solo 2011, Detroit 2014, Chicago 2016 1-2, Chicago 2018 1-2, Ohana Encore 2021 1-2, Chicago Eddie/Earthlings 2022 1-2, Nashville 2022, St. Louis 2022
