Original or ”Reissue” (cover art)

Lets start with In Utero.

Original or the black Special edition?

Black looks better. The yellow washes out the figure.

Black always looks better I agree, but I’ll always go with the original design.

I like both. But putting it against black makes it really striking - being used to the yellow background.

But yeah. Original design regardless. (the 2013 mix was like 2.5 times more expensive also)

    Black.

    OK, very similar deal:

    Original promo:

    Follow-up cover on LP:

“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.

The black background of In Utero looks awesome but it's hard to vote against the classic yellow.

After thought: I never realized how much the "lines" remind me of AIC's Dirt cover.

I am not sure I have ever seen a changed reissue cover that was better than the original... not that incan think of anyway. Although I guess if you include boxsets that isn't the case. Example: TSP's Mellon Collie reissue.
