Roky Erickson: Another legend gone.

The great Roky Erickson of 13th Floor Elevators fame (and others) has died at age 71.  This amazing and sometimes unfortunate soul was plagued by devils at times.  May he rest in peace.

R.I.P. Roky.

“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.

Man, people before we have a thread saying 'Primal Scream Slip Inside This House is a cover WTF', go DL the first 2 13th Floor Elevators albums and listen the fuck outta them. Way better psychedelic rock than your precious Pink Floyd.

Read Henry Rollins chapter on Roky in his book Do I Come Here Often?  It will blow your mind.
