My wife and i went to that area last year after the padova show. This place is amazing and not too far away from Barolo. All of those towns are basically little medieval villages. https://www.langhecountryhouse.it/
We are coming from Northern Ireland to Barolo for the show & had originally booked a hotel in Bra as they are running buses to & from Barolo for the gig.
Luckily though, we got a cancellation for a hotel in Barolo itself, but Bra or Alba seem to be the nearest main towns with good transport routes.

We are going to both the Italian shows, got a lift from Florence to Barolo but we’re not staying in the town as the accommodation sold out quickly but we got 2 nights here, about a 20 min walk from Barolo, which after Ed’s show and a few local wines will make the walk rather pleasant in the Italian evening
