These new songs sound pretty bad ass... Always liked Wisconsin Death Trip.

  • Some bands I never liked...

    Dokken, stunk.
    Queensryche, stunk.
    Solo Ozzy, stunk.
    Loudness, Stunk.
    Saxxon, stunk.
    White Zombie. meh.
    Godsmack, stunk.

Actually the first five I listed I wouldn't even consider Metal and a few are on this list.

    Is Def Leppard Metal?  Ratt?

    Ratt?  100%.
Def Leppard?  Yes, although I could see some debate.

Solo Ozzy stunk?  Oh man.  So many good times cranking Ozzy.  Everyone has their opinions but I think you saying Solo Ozzy stunk is wild.

Ozzy solo did not stink and White Zombie is legend. Godsmack, I loved their 1st album. Hit or miss up to album 3 and then blech.

I don't know that I'd call anything by Def metal. They definitely mellowed as the albums rolled out
    It's a hopeless situation...

Solo Ozzy, not metal? Now I’ve heard it all. Dude helped write the book on metal with Sabbath and wrote volume 2 with the Rhoad’s albums.

The first 2 Def Leppard albums are considered part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (commonly abbreviated as NWOBHM).

Pyromania and Hysteria (especially the latter) are often referred to as pop metal but that is still metal.

I recently watched the Death documentary Death By Metal on Amazon Prime and thought it was solid.  Recommended if you would like to learn more about the history of the seminal death metal band from Florida.

Great band! I thought the doc was okay. I've watched a lot of interviews with Chuck on Youtube, so hearing a little bit more from other people who knew him added to the depth. I just wished there were more live musical performances. Chuck reminded me of a metal Tom Petty in the way that he was driven and sought the right people to bring the vision to life even if it meant firing people he'd worked well with before.
1991- Hollywood Palladium, California with Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains -RIP Magazine Show Oct. 6th

    Nothing since then. I suck.

    2022- Oakland Night 2

Hard to believe this album never made the list. So the story behind this album started while I was work listening to Pandora last year. This song plays and it captures my ear, I investigate the IM song and its Nomad. I loved the song and downloaded. Later I tried finding the song on all the IM albums I know and couldn't find it. Then a week later I hear Wicker Man, Ghost Of The Navigator and I come across this album Brave New World. After listening to whole thing i was thinking this had to be a compilation because this was just too good. From the beginning to end the album rocks and to be it's their best album to date. I'll be seeing them again this July here in S Florida for the third time with the Somewhere In Time tour being the first.
