PJ Radio No Longer on Tunein???

I just found PJ radio on Tunein after asking here last week due to cancelling my Sirius Sub and now it is gone. Is anyone else having this issue? Is there a reason they would remove the station?

Just noticed the same thing myself. What a bummer. Hope this is temporary or we can at least get an explanation. Not everyone can afford Sirius. Hope that is not the direction this is headed.

Yeah, it was also so much better than the Sirius channel. I was only aware of it for a week and loved it. Hopefully someone will see this and have some info on it.

Maybe someone posting it here had enough impact on the listener total for Sirius to notice and force it down.

Right, but 1 is paid, 1 is free, and now the free option is gone. Likely due to the guy not getting paid, Sirius.

Thanks. This won’t work with my Sonos system at home. I also have a tunein option in my car which made the channel there much easier to access. I am just curious as to why the tunein channel has disappeared and no one seems to know why or if it will return.

Yeah, that is the weird part. I have no idea how tunein works. The station is still available at radio.net which I can get through Sonos which is great. No dice for the car though unless I stream. Not a big deal just odd that it was removed all of the sudden. Hopefully it will come back.

No problem. I can’t get over how much better this station is than Sirius. I had been a subscriber for close to 15 years and been listening to PJ radio there. It is a great station but the variety is so much better here and on tunein and radio. I never knew the stations existed until I got a new car that didn’t have Sirius. I found the tunein and was thrilled, but after a week of discovering it, they killed it! Guess it’s all my fault.

Just noticed this too. Came here to see if there was any news on the situation. I use TuneIn in my car and the PJ station is by far my most streamed station.

Me too. Not exactly sure how Tunein works but from what I understand they just broadcast the streams so the decision to stop sending it to tunein most likely came from here. Weird that it still works on radio.net and not tunein though. Maybe a cost or fee issue?

No problem. That was prob my thread asking about streaming options where someone brought up tunein. While thing is weird. I emailed tunein and they just said they only play streams that are sent to them. If something was removed it was due to the content provider. So it wasn’t like tunein was playing the station without permission. Weird.

Now it’s been removed from radio.net as well. Why are they removing all of the free options all of the sudden? This is really disappointing.

Yup. And Sirius works in the car but no longer has any free trials. Goddammit.

SCREW YOU GUYS, I’m going back to random every show. I mean if one of us starts a station online with every show, would people listen?

I can stream it from my house. I’m the IT guy. I did this in 1998.
