The sound isn't the best, but this was a magic moment in Seattle a few weeks ago...

10 year old post! I was at that show about 8' from the stage. Still get goosebumps thinking about it. Mike said

" these guys scare the shit out of me!" Davy can play, I've seen him many times in Seattle and Portland and while his studio stuff is OK, he is not to be missed live. Saw him in December at the Funhouse in Seattle playing the music of Rory Gallagher with Rorys band from the seventies, same guys I saw in '73, almost 20 years before Davy was born. They tore it up. Chatted with all three of them before the show and they all couldn't have been nicer. 2 weeks later the drummer Ted McKenna passed away.

    Thanks!
I saw Davy Knowles solo at the Cleveland House of Blues several years ago. Chatted with him briefly after the show, super nice guy! He even signed a cd.

on my first comment, I hadn’t actually watched.

WOW! I love the unspoken communication between great musicians. FWIW, I think Mike was playing one of Davy’s guitars.

very few people have heard of Davy. He’s headlining some podunk blues festival in Ohio tonight.
