What I trust is my 37 years on this earth I’ve not needed a gun to keep me alive. An armed population is a least a little bit of an obstacle to dictatorship, however realistic it might be to need it.
I don't know too many people who are pleased with our current state of government/leadership. Do you trust the Trump administration to keep you and your family safe?
There are positives and negatives to gun ownership. I think all of us would agree. What we disagree on is whether the benefits outweigh the detriments. If the studies are correct that a gun in the home is more likely to kill or hurt someone who lives in that home than an intruder, then I will side with the negatives being worse than the benefits.
