Somehow this movie manages an incredible amount of funny scenes while not being all that good
The worst of times..they don't phase me,
even if I look and act really crazy.0 -
Wrong. It is very good. Underrated and one of the best JIm Carrey-film of the 90s. And truly chilling at times.Malroth said:Somehow this movie manages an incredible amount of funny scenes while not being all that good
But marketing it like a "another Jim Carrey film!!" after Dumb and Dumber, Ace Ventura and The Mask (even those The Mask is quite dark too in places) might not have been the smartest thing.
But it definitely holds up.

This is the DC version of Jim Carrey movies. The darker, seedier Jim Carrey movie that we didn't know we needed.Turn this anger into

My favorite scene is the basketball one......."I see were playing prison rules" and then the slam dunk is the best.

That Primitive Radio Gods song is just exquisite to me. Heard it on the soundtrack first, then bought their album, which was utter dog poo outside of this song. But yeah, that song makes it on most of my playlists.0

I had grown to hate that song back then because of how overplayed it got on the radio. But this thread made me revisit it for the first time in forever and I’m in agreement that it’s a wonderful song. Good call.hepcatpunk said:That Primitive Radio Gods song is just exquisite to me. It was just in a tough spot when it followed Ace ventura movies, Fire Marshall Bill, and Dumb and Dumber.0
