I usually drink cabernets but, recently drank a 1999 Alicante Bouschet from Kaz wineries in Fresno. It was amaaaaaaazing but, unfortunately, they no longer make it. I also love Miner's Zinfandel. I was thinking about trying a Barbera or Lenoir....any thoughts on those varieties?

I had a bottle of Dom Perignon for the first time last week. Long story short- I was in New Orleans with some old college friends and we decided to hit up the casino for a few hours after lunch. Things went well and we changed dinner plans and ate at GW Fins.On first sip I wasn't all that impressed, but once the sizzling oysters and lobster dumplings came out, it became exceptional.0

I love dom. I actually didn’t love that champagne I posted a couple weeks ago. Not nearly as good as dom but basically equalivent.
congrats on the winnings. That’s fun. Sounds like an awesome trip. I have a good friend who won big at that casino too0 -
I am currently enamoured with Kim Crawford Sav Blanc Marlborough 2017 (New Zealand), even though it goes against my "only buy BC" thing. It is super citrus-y (mainly grapefruit) and fresh and refreshing and I love it so much! It's not that cheap unfortunately, lol. Like $20/bottle in the government store, $25 in beer and wine shops.

Spent this past weekend in Asheville catching a few shows at the Orange Peel with @SmallestOceans. Sunday we headed north about an hour and caught the end of a bluegrass jam at Mast General before heading to Grandfather Vineyard & Winery. We had an extremely fast tasting. They are a young winery and very small, they were packed when we were there and they did their best. It was fine and we moved on to have a glass..well...eventually a bottle of their fine Zinfandel on the beautiful Watauga river that runs through their property.

Enjoying a glass of this fine red wine, a 2012 Syrah, produced by Cantiga Winery from a non-malolactic method that makes it drinkable for a migraine sufferer like myself. And might good tasting!"It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0

Absolutely glorious evening in south philly to pop on a hoodie, some music and drink this bad boy on the front porch. Not familiar with it but highly rated by both spectator and decanter

Enjoying a nice cheap Trader Joe's boxed Cab. Yeah, ridicule me, but it's damn good and you get 4 bottles for the price one. I rarely buy bottled wine because it's too spendy and the boxed stuff is pretty comparable.
It's a hopeless situation...0 -
Anyone familiar with these guys? Interested to get into it tonight
