    Will vote for him in the primary and then vote for who ever the Dems nominate I mean anyone it could be a monkey in a suit I’d vote for him ! Instead of ever pulling the lever for the Baffoon ..

    I suppose it is rigged against him...unseating incumbents from within the party is pretty difficult.  Not to mention that Trump is very, very popular among Republicans.

    Trump is going to win all 50 states/DC in the primaries, but I will be interested in a few things:
    • How much will his message differ from Trump's...or will it just be a more polished guy giving more of the same?
    • How well will he be received?  Trump's base is pretty fierce about loyalty to Trump.  Come to think of it...
    • ...Will he play the role of villain for a while, giving the Dem candidate(s) a little break from being the focus of all the derision?
    • How will turnout be?  My guess is that it will be high because a) the Trump fans will consider it an honor to vote/caucus for the Greatest President in Our Lives and b) there may be some Democrats/Independents crashing on Weld's behalf.  The high turnout will probably be interpreted as a good sign for Trump.  But will it be?

    (Coming from someone who voted Republican in every election except the last one, for President, in lifetime.)
    I didn't vote Hilary because I hated her but if it is Trump or a donkey of any sort as only options I have to vote for the donkey.

    I think Weld will come out with policy ideas to fix immigration, work with our allies to stem the flow, work with congress and business to reform immigration, etc. Same with foreign policy and I expect him to attack Team Trump Treason for his fiscal irresponsibility in running up the debt. Question is, does it resonate with enough repubs to gain traction?

    Team Trump Treason and his base will ignore him at first. He’ll try to appeal to the Never Trumpers, party loyalist who despise Team Trump Treason, indies and blue dog dems. Again, until he gets traction in NH, Iowa, CA he’ll be ignored and I don’t expect him to appeal at all in the south.

    If he starts raising serious coin? Then he becomes a punching bag but not at the total expense of dems. Faux news just doesn’t cover him.

    Turnout will favor Team Trump Treason as his base is all in. They love what they have. Weld will get some votes and there will be crossovers in New England, PA the upper Midwest and CA but not enough to make a difference. He’ll flame out and be done after Super Tuesday.

    I am proud that this former governor of mine is a Republican who is willing to stand up and actually do something to beat Trump. Contrast that with Mitt Romney who this week gave the tired "I am deeply troubled by..." soundbyte after voting to confirm Barr as AG.
