Family Game Night

We've been doing this for a couple of months and have played all the games we have.
I told the family we could order a couple more games, but we've been having trouble finding something that looks fun.
The kids are 10 and twelve.
Any Suggestions?
The worst of times..they don't phase me,
even if I look and act really crazy.

We have apples to apples and a pictionary type game.
I played risk a couple times when younger, it takes quite a while to finish doesn't it?

Without knowing which games you already own, my recommendations are Ticket to Ride, Villainous, and Santorini.

Depending on your 12 year old, they may not want to play Villainous because it's a Disney game and they think they're too old for it. I played it with my nieces at Christmas last year, and it was pretty fun.

Thank you. Don't have any of those.

I know that Trivial Pursuit, Scattegories  and Pictionary make versions for younger players. With Trivial Pursuit you can purchase specific decks which are appropriate to age or any other type of interest you may have.

You people sure have a Monopoly on games.

Mal, maybe you could try a homemade bingo type of thing - have the kids select the prizes, etc.

I forgot the best game to get 10-12 year old kids into.
    A few different varieties:

    1.  Mow the lawn
    2.  Rake the leaves
    3.  Shovel the snow
    4.  Vacuum the house
    5.  Do the laundry

This is the most rewarding game, to parents, and the kids can earn a little coin and a measure of responsibility.

    Good luck!
