Question about Kuechel (guess it goes for Kimbrel, too) - is there a point in the season where the player loses the draft compensation associated with them? I guess if they sign after the draft?
This is a good question. I do not know.  That woudl make sense.
Man, i can't remember what Talking Head said it, but i think he said if these players sign after the Draft, then that team loses draft compensation. Not sure what MLB could come up with, but  not sure teams should lose draft compensation. Maybe we'll see if these players don't sign by then.
David Byrne or Jerry Harrison probably.
    This weekend we rock Portland

HAHA, but it may have been Tina Weymouth. I hear she's really knows her baseball.

Were the suspensions for Archer(5) & Pig(2) fair?

Hell no.  Archer should get two starts.  One day pushed back for your start is meaningless
Pig should have been given a bat and the entire pi-rat order to beat down.

Love how the Astros are playing right now. The bats have finally started to wake up and I’m looking forward to watching the series against Seattle.

If you are a gamer, I recommend MLB The Show 19. Probably the best sports sim I’ve played in five years. They are several modes that make games short or put you in key spots late in the game that make for fun short matchups if you don’t have the time for franchise mode.

I’m trading in my Xbox one for a PS4 just to get this game.

I really wish it wasn't Playstation exclusive.  RBI is getting better, but it's still a long ways off.

That series was brutal last year. I know it's very early in the season, but it was good to see the Astros bats come alive. I have a feeling we'll be meeting in the postseason again.

Same here. I love the xbox, but this is a dealbreaker for me. Time to swap out the systems!

Tips if you get The Show 19:

use “strike zone” camera view for hitting. You need patience to get hits and this view makes it easier to read pitches. Hitting is a challenge but seems fair.

”stubs” (the currency for the game) is easy to make by flipping equipment. Sony will let you buy 150K stubs for $100 real money but I’ve easily made over 200K stubs in less then two weeks flipping socks and batting gloves.  Items under 3K usually turn over quick in the market ... a lot faster than player cards do.

Importing your own music will keep you from going nuts listening to the same game tracks over and over.

Thats is it for tips as I’m still learning the game.

Did the braves get the two most team friendly and worst player deals ever in the last few weeks? Highway robbery. I don’t get it

I feel bad for the guy, but Chris Davis hit less streak might be the most interesting thing going on. Very well could be a record that never gets broken.
