    (I want a new drug is one of the better songs on this album, IMO, and the Ghostbusters connection makes me like it even more)

    I Want A New Drug
    Now that the field is narrowed, I'm listening to what's left so I join the fun.  "I want a New Drug" is an easy pick for for for a couple of reasons- 1) It's way to disco for my tastes, 2) The whole concept of the song is dumb and 3) It's probably the worst drug song (metaphor or not) I've ever heard.  Compare it to songs like Jimi Hendrix's "Purple Haze", Country Joe and the Fish's "Bass Strings", the Stones "Sister Morphine", Lou Reeds "Heroin", Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit", The Beatles "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds",  Neil Young's "The Needle and the Damage Done", or J. J. Cale's (no E.C. did not write  it) "Cocaine".  Listen to any or all of those songs and "I Want a New Drug" will sound like warm flat beer.
