Listened to all of the songs...I will admit that I could not leave it on all the way through and had to do it in stages.
Ha, I'm feel the same way about Pearl Jam's Lightning Bolt
I stop it after Let The Records Play normally but I frequently skip through My Father's Son and Sirens...so I guess that despite my love for that album I am right here with you.  There are songs I am fine not hearing.

It's really early, but I think it's safe to say that The Heart of Rock & Roll is the runaway best song on this album and should easily win. It's Huey's signature song for me.

Heart and Soul has such a great guitar riff in it I can't believe that ANYONE would pick it...

Sitting this one out. Huey Lewis and the News isn’t music.
Dang man, I wouldn't even make that claim about Skynyrd.  It's ok to not like (or even downright loathe) an artist, but to say it's not music is flat out incorrect.
    I stand by it.

It's music for sure.  It's cheesy music for a cheesy population.  Thank God for the early 90's course correction!

Hahaha what does that say about the album?  Nothing good lol

I'll take Power of Love and Back in Time over any of these...huge Back to the Future fan back in my day, obviously.

This is such a classic album of my childhood.  I really like every song except for Honky Tonk Blues. The rest of this poll will be tough!

I am surprised anyone picked I Want a New Drug first, wow. That song's great. A classic.
Fantastic song!! A friend recently pointed out the similarities between this song and Ghostbusters. I never noticed it before then. Apparently there was a law suit between Huey Lewis and Ray Parker Jr but I don't remember any of that because I was a kid.

I ain't afraid uh new drugs

    LOL, good points!

To me, a record like Sports is important in that it's like a compass to a point in time.  And for me it points right back to where I was at  a specific place and time and cultural setting:  Silicon Valley south of the San Francisco Bay Area, 1984, right smack dab in the heart of the initial computer semiconductor explosion driven by upwardly mobile yuppie  boomers who had no other goals other than to get rich, get drunk and fuck.  Sports is the quintessential album pointing to what, for me, was the most shallow and pointless period of my life.  In that way one could say it's a landmark album.  Thank God, in the long-run, I failed Yuppie-boomer 101.
