Poll--The Weakest Link: Led Zeppelin's 'Led Zeppelin IV' Round 3

Black DogSo I've voted against Black Dog every round and McGruff has voted against Levee every round, yet the songs remain the same. If I have to vote against this damn song one more time, I'm going to build my own levee to keep that dog out. It's a hopeless situation...0

Black DogToo hard!!
Going to California...as a studio track would get the chop...but anybody who has watched Earl's Court knows that the song has wicked Kung Fu.
@mcgruff10 check out Earl's Court...a small acoustic set of absolute gems.Monkey Driven, Call this Living?0 -
Black Dog
Agreed. My favourite song on LZll.mcgruff10 said:
Ok i'll go with that album next. What is and what should never be (second song off ii) is unreal.F Me In The Brain said:The other albums are amazing as well.
Physical Graffiti next?
The fact that they cranked as many great songs out in the time frame they did....it is astounding
I dunno about going Physical Graffiti next. The second half might be a bit of a challenge. I'd go with House of the Holy next. Afterwards go with LZI and then either PG or LZIII.0 -
Black Dog
I liked it when I was 17 but that was a long time ago.HesCalledDyer said:I can’t stand Black Dog. I’d rank it 3rd worst on the album. It’s the type of song that’s the quintessential reason I could never get into Zeppelin. It reminds me of muscle cars and mullets.0 -

It's also used very well in a Silver Linings Playbook scene.Post edited by rummy on0 -

Stairway To HeavenI must apologize. I think I said earlier I would only vote against Stairway only one time. What was I thinking?! I know it's a fine song, but up against the other three? I had to do it.

Black Dog is one of the most memorable riffs in rock history. It is likely Led Zeppelin's most powerful and hardest driving song.
And it's named after a stray black dog. Brilliant.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

Going to California
I don't disagree it's one of the most memorable riffs... I just picture the high school tough guy revving up his t-top Trans-Am with a phoenix on the hood while playing it. Which is what 99% of Led Zeppelin sounds like to me. I can't get into it.Gern Blansten said:
