AMT Poll: Was Democratic Governor Northam the one in the KKK hood or the one in black face?
Comments
-
To repeat... this is not the “should he resign?” thread. Just state hood or blackface. For the record Northam’s current position is that he is in the photo but can’t remember whether he was in the hood or black face. Poll will stay open until he goes on record. At that point the next poll will be “who was the other person?”. I assume in the name of accountability the Democratic Party will be required to pursue this so the answer should become available.Thirty Bills Unpaid said:Halifax2TheMax said:
He’s being pressured and universally condemned by members of his own party and will probably resign by Monday.BS44325 said:
As per forum rules please stick to the thread topic. Do you think Democratic Governor Northam was in the hood or black face?Halifax2TheMax said:

Interesting. Members of his own party aren't saying, "But whatabout..." and "He's a good man" and a bunch of other things.
They're saying, "He needs to step down."
Wow. Accountability. That's a fresh approach given what we've experienced in the past two years.
That being said, where do I vote?0 -
They are not his allies in a rundown to the primary. More or less his main opposition until the next king in waiting is anointed.Thirty Bills Unpaid said:Halifax2TheMax said:

This is a lie. But again please maintain thread integrity.OnWis97 said:
Yep. We’re saying whatabout because is apt. The GOP says barely a word about white supremacist Steve King and the Dems tell this guy to step down. If I didn’t know better, I would say it’s reflective of the values of the two parties.Thirty Bills Unpaid said:Halifax2TheMax said:

I see your point Jason. Sometimes people dress up in a costume in order to point out the absurdity of those that actually wear it. I am a massive fan of Blazing Saddles which obviously was making fun of racism but today would be considered racist itself. That being said no matter what your feelings are on this old photo this is not the topic of the thread. The poll can continue once Northam finalizes his position. After all he was for being in the photo before he was against it.Jason P said:

In all honesty, that photo could have been some stupid Halloween costume with nothing behind it other than to mock the KKK.BS44325 said:

I went to a Halloween dance as a sheik when I was in grade 12. I did so because a buddy of mine just happened to have a really good costume for the role. If I entered the political realm and the photo of me was released with some damning headline... maybe I’d find myself in hot water?"My brain's a good brain!"0 -
