The first 2 Def Leppard albums are considered part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (commonly abbreviated as NWOBHM).

Pyromania and Hysteria (especially the latter) are often referred to as pop metal but that is still metal.

I recently watched the Death documentary Death By Metal on Amazon Prime and thought it was solid.  Recommended if you would like to learn more about the history of the seminal death metal band from Florida.

Great band! I thought the doc was okay. I've watched a lot of interviews with Chuck on Youtube, so hearing a little bit more from other people who knew him added to the depth. I just wished there were more live musical performances. Chuck reminded me of a metal Tom Petty in the way that he was driven and sought the right people to bring the vision to life even if it meant firing people he'd worked well with before.
1991- Hollywood Palladium, California with Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains -RIP Magazine Show Oct. 6th
    1992- Lollapalooza, Irvine, California

    125. Iron Maiden- Brave New World

Hard to believe this album never made the list. So the story behind this album started while I was work listening to Pandora last year. This song plays and it captures my ear, I investigate the IM song and its Nomad. I loved the song and downloaded. Later I tried finding the song on all the IM albums I know and couldn't find it. Then a week later I hear Wicker Man, Ghost Of The Navigator and I come across this album Brave New World. After listening to whole thing i was thinking this had to be a compilation because this was just too good. From the beginning to end the album rocks and to be it's their best album to date. I'll be seeing them again this July here in S Florida for the third time with the Somewhere In Time tour being the first.

So when are we counting down to find the one greatest album/winner?

    Rules:
    One user removes an album.
The next user removes another album, or chooses instead to "veto/stop" the users above choice for one round.

Until there is one winner left.

    130. Faith No More - Angel Dust

It spawned hundreds of albums in the early 2000s, ranging from classic to terrible. Frankly, a lot of terrible. But FNM is a unique treasure and this is their best album. Funky, dark, weird, soulful. Still completely holds up today.

Love mike patton/FNM. Never heard above. Got more to explore. He does a song with bjork-where is the line-creative mash up.

I'd rather just see this thread keep moving along with people providing what they like. It's cool to check out some of the random stuff I've never heard. Keep metal alive!!

I also vote yes on just keeping it going. We don't need that elimination/winner nonsense. Though, I guess we're not keeping the actual list current? I'll just post #131 Forbidden - Forbidden Evil. A sometimes overlooked Bay Area Thrash classic.

So if DP - machine head is metal, then where is led Zeppelin? Isn't it the same genre??

Anyway, I'll say Paradise Lost - Draconian Times.
Strange that no one picked them yet
