    Correct.  They appear to have a source that is tied into this slice of the investigation.

    Absolutely.  It's already established that the Senate GOP can clam up and stop doing it's job to own the libs.  They could do so here, free of consequence.  The only way they'd pursue this is if the public (and by that I mean Republicans, who support him at an 85-90% clip) starts to indicate that they want it pursued.  That would take video evidence of Trump saying "Michael, I want you to  do this for me...yes I know I am committing a felony, but I work for Russia and not America." (and I still think his GOP support would hold at above 50%).

    No, I don't think he can if the House votes to advance the impeachment articles.  I think he Constitutionally obligated to have the trial.

    I think if the house votes to impeachment, the senate is obligated to try the case. Yes, they have the sole power and if they refused, it would be a constitutional crisis with the Supreme Court having to weigh in. After all the Hillary accusations and investigations and the senate not holding one of their own accountable for evidence backed felonies? The USA will be forever known as a banana republic and it’ll be time to move.

    I just heard John Dean say that the Senate could choose not to take up the trial.  Dean would know.. he did his share of lawyering and political crime.

    One can hope. And I’m encouraged that buzzfeed is standing by their reporting and asking Team Mueller to clarify their inaccuracies. We’ll see.

    That is the irony, isn't it?  If the whole thing was one giant hoax, why not let the media go on?  Also, does this mean all of the other conclusions were true since they didn't issue a contrary statement?
