Axis: Bold As LoveAre You Experienced Axis: Bold As LoveThe first two are very nearly a tie for me. They were recorded back to back, both at Olympic Studio, both produced by Chas Chandler. I give Axis the edge because "One Rainy Wish" induced a kind of synesthesia in me once.Electric Ladyland. If I could have my favorite tracks from the third album made into a single album, this would make it also close to a three way tie. The trippy trilogy making up side three is one of my most very favorite pieces of psychedelic music. But like a strong drug, it has to (for me anyway) be taken carefully, in the right mood, and infrequently.

Putting the headphones on and hearing the beginning of EXP...it still makes me excited. Don't think I will ever get over Axis, it is just fucking genius.

Lots of Axis fans. If you are a digital music fan and haven't purchased the new Hybrid SACD yet, you should before it goes OOP. Maybe the best digital version of the title ever released.

So I found this station with a show called "So you think you know Jimmy?"
I don't listen to Hendrix and know a few songs only but what I heard sounded just like 90's Seattle music. Never heard any of this on the radio before.
Would anyone even have a clue to what I was listening to?0
