I'm surprised the '91 Rino hasn't gone through the roof yet.

With only 1500 created it won’t be long at all.

Well, now to look at the new membership information.  I would assume they will only have 1 type and hopefully is less than $20. Digital membership is really not worth more than that. My membership renews in March, hopefully the new memberships will be communicated asap. Kinda wondering what January renewees are doing.
I'm in that boat. Hard to justify staying in simply for a chance at tickets for a band that barely tours and for the privilege of posting here. Gotta be something else...

  • Sad. Gives some insight into the state of the band. Spending time in the studio being creative together don't seem to be the driving force keeping the guys together.

What year are we on anyway? They could raise the membership to $100 if they wanted and people would still pay for the hopes of tickets for a tour. They really have us by the short and curlies.

I always thought the annual 7" single was one of the coolest things going here.  And of another era.  Too bad.

I downgraded to digital.  Which is a bummer because I never use digital downloads.  I'm a vinyl guy.  So now for $20 I have to privileged of being able to post on the forums here.  Too bad there's not a "post only" option for less money.  Oh well, I blown twenty bucks on worse things.
We all know that we’re in the club for the (chance at) tickets..... fingers crossed that doesn’t change.... they’d watch this place empty out.
Correction:  most not all.  I'm not.
Fair enough.  You’d stay a member if seniority meant nothing and you got no special chance at tickets though? If so, im definitely impressed!
Yes, seniority means nothing to me as I no longer attend shows.

certainly true, but the single has barely ever been the band creating new music in the studio. Only a handful of examples out of 50ish songs
    6/26/98, 8/17/00, 10/8/00, 12/8/02, 12/9/02, 4/25/03, 5/28/03, 6/1/03, 6/3/03, 6/5/03, 6/6/03, 6/12/03, 6/13/03, 6/15/03, 6/18/03, 6/21/03, 6/22/03, 7/12/03, 7/14/03, 10/3/04, 10/5/04, 9/9/05, 9/11/05, 9/16/05, 5/16/06, 5/17/06, 5/19/06, 6/30/06, 7/23/06, 8/5/07, 6/30/08, 8/23/09, 8/24/09, 5/4/10, 5/7/10, 9/3/11, 9/4/11, 10/11/13, 10/17/14, 8/20/16

Well I hope they take the time to totally redo the fan club, but being that it’s almost Jan 1 and they haven’t communicate any changed except this downsizing, I doubt that will happen.

Id gladly pay more $ for some cool benefits....of course we all have different understanding of what is “cool benefits” for us.

The only thing I'm really wondering is, since I just downgraded to digital this year (analog up to and including 2017), if I can go ahead and just give them the extra $20 to move up to analog to guarantee me the final single?  Has anyone done this before?  I mean, no harm no foul at this point.

Depends on where you live. For me I have the ability to see the band once every 4 or 5 years. If didn't spend 100 bucks a year and instead had an extra $500 on to spend on tickets on top of the face value I bet I could get some pretty nice seats.
  • I'd say chances are the DEEP magazine will be gone soon too, hasn't that been late also every year?

Stuck with a t-shirt no one really wants because they don't want to put "PEARL JAM" on it.

Maybe they’ll replace the annual vinyl with something else. They didn’t mention anything about the Deep Magazine either.

Seems so many only care about tour dates.  Sad.
  • Kind of a bummer.  The single was a big reason I kept the Analog membership active honestly.  Thing is for me they never really play anywhere close so the ticketing system isn’t a huge benefit.  Basically the shirt is the selling point now along with the same physical Deep Magazine.

I pretty much have access to all the Pearl Jam I want though with all the CD and vinyl releases I have plus I also pay for a SiriusXM subscription which includes Pearl Jam Radio which I regularly listen to.  The singles were kinda fun to collect though.

End of an era. But it is clear the 10c/band isn't into it anymore, so no real surprise.
Exactly. It’s clear they don’t like doing it anymore, so why force them to make stuff? Let them spend that time on the things they want to do with the band, like make an awesome new album.

Sad they will stop releasing the yearly Christmas single.  :(
Wonder who over @ 10club decided to terminate this?
    Please reconsider!

LOL at the elitist/entitled PJ fans.
Entitled?  Yes, we are literally entitled.  We paid for these singles and haven't received them for two years.  We've made interest-free loans to Pearl Jam.  We are justified in being pissed and annoyed.  The discontinuation is a sign that we will never get what we paid for-- what we are entitled to get.
I gather speed from you fucking with me.

The thing is though I don’t see how it’s a lot of effort.  A lot of times it isn’t a new song anyways.  Either a cover or a live track they put onto a 45”.  Plus it’s only a yearly thing.  It’s not like they release them quarterly or multiple times per year.
