If there is a better live version than LA 7/13/98, I am yet to hear it. Amazing version of a truly great song. Obviously an all-around epic show, but In Hiding is a standout for me.

    Agreed. It's over the top good.  I love that boot.  It's got plenty of kick and not too long and over bloated.  Almost a perfect show.  I really like those 98 shows.

    Great version. The version of In Hiding from the Philly night 3 2009 is the best overall I have ever heard live. It was deafening at the Spectrum. The bootleg does not come close to doing it justice.

    So jealous. One of the best boots I have ever heard. They sounded just about flawless as a collective band.

    10-30-09 and the Vic are two memorable ones for the amazing sing alongs. The Vic is especially impressive considering audience size.

    I think the first few tours playing contained the best ones.  The LA version is awesome -- a number from that 98 tour I loved so much.

    Fantastic version!  I absolutely love how ed sings this one.   St. Louis 98 is another stellar version.
    I'll ride the wave where it takes me......

    Silly me, I thought this thread was about how the band is hiding out in a studio somewhere cutting the xmas single. Glad to see some people are still talking about the music! Carry on! :)

    I’m sure there are better versions..

    but Seattle N2 @Safeco was really well done. Nice slow tempo, they didn’t rush through it like some versions.

    Agreed 100%. The ending is so good but falls a little flat when he cuts it off.
