Saw these guys for the second time last night and out of about 80 shows it was probably the best concert I have ever been to. They are a band from New Orleans and they just released their 2nd CD and it is such an amazing album.

Figured I would bump this thread. These guys have gotten a lot of attention recently, and are still one of my favorite bands. They have played a lot of fests this last year(Hangout/NOLA Jazz Fest/Wanee/Mt Jam/Voodoo), and I know people who I told to go in early for the fest come out thanking me because they were great.
Just wondering if anyone else has heard of/seen these guys. They've opened up for Gov't Mule/JJ Grey/Dr. John/Trombone Shorty to name a few.0 -
I've seen these guys. I really enjoyed listening to their newest album but when I saw them live I wasn't impressed.
They had a lot of energy and people were into it but I wasn't a fan of the lead guy taking off his shirt and being all hand clappy. Just not my thing. It felt too poppy and juvenile for me.
I wish I could be more positive but I have to be honest.0 -

I'll bump this thread as I just saw these guys for the first time this weekend.
I went to see the opening band The Weeks and decided to stay for the headliner which was The Revivalists.
Well. What a fun band! The song "Bulletproof" was really good. I ended up getting a setlist so that's how I found out what the name was.
Good band and fun music!0 -
Bumping the thread for the new album. Liking "Oh No" and "Celebration" the most after the first few spins. Zack and Dave from the band are about to do a live performance on WMMR.0

I need to give the new one a listen. I do enjoy them a good bitPittsburgh 2013

I'm just discovering this band now, and I really really love them! The new album - Take Good Care - is one of the best albums of the year IMO.

These guys have a song that has the lines “wish I knew you then.. could have got so high...” or something like that. It was on the radio a lot last year and I always loved the song. Anyway, not sure what album it’s from but when I saw the thread I had to postI'm like an opening band for your mom.0

Yeah, that's "Wish I Knew You". I don't listen to the radio, so didn't know they were popular or what, but then saw that they have 1.77M monthly listeners, which is not at all bad in the scheme of things, for that kind of band (for reference, PJ has 7M monthly listeners, which is the same number that Springsteen has. U2 has 10.2M. Beyonce has 25M. Michael Jackson has 25.9M. Drake has 46M. Crazy. I love being able to see those stats on Spotify, lol. Also, Drake sucks. I'm depressed now.RoleModelsinBlood31 said:These guys have a song that has the lines “wish I knew you then.. could have got so high...” or something like that. These guys aren’t talked about enough! David Shaw has one of the most pure voices in the world of music right now. One of the rare few that I don’t get tired of listening to regularly.Pittsburgh 2013
