    Just the city slickers would.  Those of us who live in rural Canada have no issues with guns.  I was out with my dog the other day on a little pathway and someone was either duck hunting or just firing their gun for something to do.  I’m guessing most farmers in rural Canada have guns.  And plenty of rural Canadians hunt as well...
    Yes, I know several working class Canadians that are way more avid hunters that I could ever be.  The joke about the rattlesnake actually stems from one of them freaking the fuck out when he was down here and got to see a diamondback first hand :).

If you live in rural Canada, then I grew up in rural Canada too, so your experience is no different than mine) would be just as disturbed by people carrying assault weapons on their backs in a fast food joint as anyone else would be. We're not talking about hunters carrying guns while hunting. "City slickers" are not any more worried about that than anyone else.

    pretty sure a farmer or an avid hunter would still be knocked the fuck off his/her chair to see AR-15's on the backs of two guys at a counter at lunch. that simply does not happen. seeing someone hunting outside is a bit different than having a military rifle in an enclosed public restaurant (unless this was, as stated, at a gun show).

    I hate this freaking 'stuck in quote if backspace".  Fix it, I'm held prisoner and am sick of deleting and restarting. 

    Anyway, checked a couple random sites on google and yes, a business can deny to serve a person open carrying. Some establishments can refuse conceal carry. This is usually handled with a simple sign on the door. Starbucks has a no carry policy as do most establishments that serve alcohol (thank god). 

    The person open carrying is not a protected class and their second amendment right is not infringed upon if a business chooses to not allow guns on their premises. If a person carries onto a property or into a business they can be asked to leave and if they refuse, the police are called. 

    If a restaurant can refuse to serve you based upon what you are wearing, or a store refuse entry because you are barefoot or shirtless then I can't imagine how this wouldn't  to openly carried guns. It is allowed by law in states but not where it is not wanted. And there is no law to support it.

    It seems that some towns have enacted 'must carry' laws but I'm not so sure about what that is all about. 

    I would be extremely uncomfortable being in line with a bunch of people carrying rifles openly. I support people's right to own guns but don't shove them in my face. Pot is legal in many states but you can't light up in Walmart. 

    I think the Second Amendment has been completely over applied and needs to be re-assessed. That will never happen. The obsession with guns in America is something that I will never understand.

    I just noticed the deer head plus on the wall so logic follows that this is an open carry friendly restaurant. 

    I simply do not understand this culture. Doesn't make it right or wrong. It just isn't something that I find necessary. YMMV

    I guess all these good guys with guns are going to protect everyone from the guy who charges in and surprises everyone with an AK. Seems most would be shot before they could respond, especially since they're waiting for food and not on duty. I've never touched a gun. I have no desire to do so. I will not shove my opinion onto anyone else but I hate the damn things. At least limit it to handguns - I don't see the need for civilians to be ordering extra cheese on their fries with a long gun strapped to their body. It's a frustrating situation in America. Except for those who have guns and immense freedom; yet still are outraged that people are coming for their guns or their rights. 

    Rant over. It's the Second Amendment. (Expanded way over original meaning and supported by 'originalists'). Okay, now rant over.
