This seems just crazy to me. It's another one of those, we've gone too far moments. A fake moon in the sky to provide lighting. I think it would just piss me off every time I saw it.

    That’s actually pretty interesting conceptually, but I think we already have far too much light pollution. I’d like to see less artificial light in general, not more, particularly light you can’t get away from.

    If I had to look at an artificial moon everyday, I would go crazy.

    Coincidentally, it is apparently International Observe the Moon night tonight.

    So get out there and take a peek at the beautiful waxing gibbous moon.

    I can't even look at the link or a conception of a fake moon.    Even just the thought of it...  I'd have to keep on the move to avoid seeing it.

    Since it’s just a satellite like most of the other satellites up there, I assume it’ll be a mix of light metals, such as titanium, aluminum, cadmium, etc. Plus magic.
