Strangest Tribes merch drop

I've seen some great merch dropped here by the 10 Club folks, but I'm not at all impressed with the new Strangest Tribes lineup.  What's up with it being "Tribes?"

It's just not a cool design at all and every printed shirt is simply 1 color ink.  1 color ink is often used to save money and to maximize profit, but yeah, it doesn't look anywhere near as good.

And these prices for what you'd be getting?  Dang!  A 30 dollar knit hat with a PJ label about the size of a dime?  What's up with that?

Dude, if you're going to release an entire new line of merch and charge these kinds of prices, come up with something cool. This year's Halloween shirt is way better in my opinion.

Dissapointing.

Ok, you blindly loyal PJ minions that would and do buy literally anything that 10 Club ever releases, fire away, but that's my take.  I don't mind throwing down some loot, but I'd like some value for the money I spend.

My humble opinion? I care, literally, zero about anything that is not music related. They could sell PJ branded toasters that create toasts with a PJ logo on them for what I care.

    Now that would be something.
But make it the stickman logo that gets burned into the toast. Huge seller.

Buy what you like, ignore what you don't. There's nothing to get worked up about.

I kinda like the green hat, but mostly because I have no fucking idea what a “camp hat” is and it intrigues me.  I picture myself in a wooded basin, far from the distractions of city life.  A bleeding animal carcass at my feet from my victorious hunt, a maiden of the woods wrapped in a deer skin bikini in my warm wigwam, and the tears of my enemy tribes being used to grow the mighty harvest I soon will consume.  I’d be wearing the green camp hat, by the way.

The only merch I buy is music related or if a show I go to has a poster I like, so I think it’s funny that the person that likes the annual Halloween shirt (which I think is a silly concept) is calling others “blindly loyal minions that would and do buy everything.”

    EV toaster variant. Very limited.

Isn't that Jesus (well many here think EdVed and Jesus are one and the same)? Or a mid 70's era Pete Townshend?

You gotta admit the op has a point though.  Unless you work at Pearl Jam State Park you’re probably not going to  need a button up shirt with a PJ logo on it.  I always feel the same way when I see the jerseys- can you imagine some dude walking around with an NHL jersey on that’s not even NHL but PJ? Or the soccer jerseys.... wtf?! I totally get wearing them to a PJ show but when in the fk are you actually in the course of real life going to walk around in that like it’s normal?  Can you imagine rocking a PJ baseball jersey just on a day out on the town?  Some of this shit is hilarious to imagine

I dig the new stuff, the button up, the black hat.  I'm SoCal based so a lot of it feels that vibe and the prices are as expected.

True, but these are basically all T Shirts. I wear PJ and other band shirts from time to time. Same with hats.  Same with other bands. I bought the green hat, I liked it. But understand others might not.

  • I passed this tour on the zipup hoodie because it was printed rather than patches or embroidered and was the same price.  It was cheap looking.  The previous Fenway tour those hoodies were beautiful.

Thats true about the hoodies, but this years were super soft on the inside and a little thinner. Which is better for fall here in NJ.

The 16 hoodie was thick.  It is still my fav piece of clothing in a while besides certain Halloween shirts.

Yeah, the letterman 16 hoodie is fantastic. Could have run a little bigger, but quality wise one of the best merch pieces I've bought in a while.

Even in SoCal, $30 for a blank beanie is high. $30 for a beanie with a design is still high, but a blank one is just ridiculous.
Same goes for the $80 long sleeve.
The rest I could agree with you.
  • Are the '16 hoodies the ones that say "PEAR" zipper "LJAM"? I can't get past that.

My only complaint was their use of felt for the lettering rather than a heavy weight fabric that doesn't pill to hell and back.
I wear mine 3 seasons.  The first year I had it, it wasn't a severe winter so I wore it as a winter coat.
