Hey I'm huge fan of pearl jam like you guys but I'm getting really fucked off with this whole vector arena thing. Surely PJ could play somewhere else or release some info on whether they are coming or not. If Pearl Jam don't come to NZ this time round I will find it very hard to listen any of their music..................

Yes I am somewhat bitter and twisted.

I think you've already posted the details. So yeah not much has changed. Why is steel so expensive anyway?

so its a real bitch not to have my own wheels. Just hope the car isn't written off. Anyway let's just hope for some NZ shows. Cheers people.
I thought it was your parents' car anyway, so don't worry about it! ;) In my experience, it's often better to get the car written off, then you can get the payout and go buy a new car, otherwsie you gotta wait for it to get fixed and it's never the same after that... :D

Increased demand worldwide for steel - led particually by China, has seen the price increase dramatically.

With the project taking so long, and the price not being hedged, the steel price is making an already blown budget worse

  • Im trying to keep hopes up, I spoke to my mate who works at Mainzeal (who are building the Vector stadium) and he reckons November is every chance to be ready. Could even be Pearl Jam breaking it in! Its right in town for those who want to party on afterwards, although it being a Friday in summer id be going home for cricket. Think id wanna go home and soak it all up anyway rather than get hammered

Sounds promising. Man how cool would that be to have Pearl Jam be the first band to play in there. People would be all over it like a rash. Yeah I'd go out and party afterwards but wouldn't wanna get too hammered. I'd probably spend the night searching for the band. Even if it was to shake thier hand and say thanks for the music.

Youd have to have inside knowledge, like Tracey from the Rock met Ed thru someone telling her he'd be in a certain bar that night. I dont think too many other people would recognise them either which is cool. Tracey said she was the only one in a packed bar who even knew who he was.
