    I finally saw Simple Minds for the first time on Sunday night in Toronto. It was a great show with a great setlist. I'm kicking myself for having waited so long to see them. So many good shows missed. The show was made just a little bit more interesting due to the fact that Josh Homme was up front on the guitarists side rocking the fuck out to Simple Minds! Kinda weird.

    wasn't josh the dude who kicked that photographer in the camera/face while she was talking a picture...and all done because he was being a super cool rock star ? alive and kicking indeed!

    cool i really got into them in the 80's but never saw them in concert the drummer always stood out for me was it the same drummer ?

    No, Mel Gaynor left a few years ago apparently.

    They have a younger female drummer now who was quite good. 

    Only original members still there are Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill.
