    Meh
  • I love Bill Simmons, I’ve been a Boston guy since the Bird days, but I guarantee this is a greatest hits, fratbro playlist.
I mean I dare you to sing "Black" and not feel it.
    I dare you.
I've tried to phone in "Jeremy" a few times, and it's tough.
    It doesn't work.

I like Bill Simmons and love his podcast but he can be a bit of a poser at times.  His current act is pretending he’s 25 years old. Must be some sort of a midlife crisis he’s going through.  Also... his interviews are getting annoying.  He asks a question and then when the guest is half a sentence into an answer he interrupts and blabs what he thinks is a brilliant idea.  Listen to his recent interview with Steve Nash.  I don’t think he got to finish one sentence without Bill cutting him off.

  • Didn't know there was a problem with Porch getting the right level of respect?

Not sure there has ever been a more needy look at me sports fan that managed to make a living at it than Bill Simmons.
His eminence has yet to show.

Enjoyed his work for fifteen years.  His basketball book was great too.  He’s lost what made him great

Yeah he was great back in the Page 2 days on espn.com when he would actually write columns.  His football gambling columns were the best.  Trying to become a TV star was a huge mistake....he was brutal on NBA coverage on ESPN and that HBO show was a complete disaster.

Agree on all counts.  Just as he started Page 2 (and transitioned from Boston Sports Guy to Sports Guy) I think was his best work.
Very relatable, to me, and funny as hell.

    He moved to LA.

I do really enjoy the the Rewatchables podcast he does with other Ringer staff.  And the BS podcast can be real good at times, when he isn't talking all over his guests.

Some of his Page 2 articles were so well written that i have Word files of them.  Grantland had some okay stuff for a while too.

He was at his best when he was a fan who didn't meet sports stars and actors. You almost have to change when you start doing those things.

He's still great just wish he would write an article. His writing is much better than his podcasts but he's famous now, doesn't need to write anymore.
