This is what I am getting at. Can't plan for anything if it won't happen if you don't win
Game 1 = Game 7.  Gotta throw the kitchen sink at it and worry about tomorrow, tomorrow.
With that lineup the Yankees can beat any team if they get hot - it does not matter if their SPs are great.  Not saying it is likely, but it is a possibility that they just hammer their way through opponents
It's what they did last year.  Stay in the game and let the bats bat.
If the bats fail you need pitching to help then.

We will see what happens here is a few days.

So I say start Tanaka, is everyone else on board with starting Happ?

I thought Severino was the ace?
I think you start your best, whomever that is.  Haven't been watching them closely as of late.

You have to treat the wild card game like game 7 in the world series.  Use anyone and everyone.

Yankees tie the Mariners home run record. And that's with both Judge and Sanchez missing over month each.

That is great but All I care about is winning 12 games in October.

    Oh yeah. Stupid wild card
  • Oh yeah. Stupid wild card
Stupid? Without it the Yankees wouldn’t be in it. Season over, go play golf. That said, the Yankees are showing signs of life and it’s baseball as it should be. Personally, I like their chances. Sox pitching looks spent.

Without the wild card game the Yankees are in the alds.

I think the yanks can beat you guys, not saying they will, but they can. But they could also easily get beat by the A’s

Oh, I agree with you on beating the Sox. They’re rising and not peaked yet. They played through the slump. My money is on the Yankees in a one game series at home and you have to like their odds in a 5 game series. And I do think the Sox pitching is spent. Not the way you want to go into the playoffs and all the pressure is on them.

That's baseball now. They'll take a low average and high strikeouts if you can hit homeruns. And it's not an idiotic stat. It's just saying that high pct of his hits are for extra base hits.  It's a minimum of 300 PA. If it was 30 PA then it wouldn't mean anything. He also missed a month at least and is 12 away from 30 hr.
