    for the price of a cup of coffee you can get a cool keepsake that is apparently important enough to ask for on the internet.  Just pay for it and stop complaining.  Ten club does not have to do this as technology moves on and they have no reason not to change with it.

    1) The fact that "Ticketmaster" is printed on these "commemorative" tickets tells me that there is some sort of contractual obligation to use their service (or printing service).  PJ and Tenclub is not likely to willfully have "Ticketmaster" on these unless they have to. 

    2) The original poster provided free, awesome looking, fan friendly looking tickets that I'd call much more "commemorative" than the Ticketmaster option.  Use this option and stop complaining.

    I have no idea if there are other factors for a business shipping a purchased good out of the country. Just answering the question about cost if someone in the US took delivery then mailed them abroad.

    I think it's fair to question the costs of shipping a piece of paper in an envelope. It's a lovely gesture from the 10C for sure, but $21 is extortionate.
    Should have clarified that I was talking about the US people complaining. The huge surcharge for anyone outside the US does deserve an explanation of why so much.

    Could also be that this is the simplest solution they could pull together quickly. Seems like a larger undertaking to contract with a company to produce them, approve designs, etc.

    Not really a money grab if there shipping them overnight. Just a bad shipping choice. It’s not like there just sending them out with a stamp on them your paying for the shipping choice there using.

    Why don’t they just merch it out- phish sells all their tickets as magnets after the show.  Sure it’s not your personal seat but for a band as merch insane as Pearl Jam is you’d think they’d be all over that

    Yeah, I'm not sure.  Ticketmaster seems like just the moneygrabbing type organization that would legally not allow for tickets to be printed, even after the event is over, for an event that they had the ticketing contract for.  I'm willing to bet that this 3rd party company that's actually printing these commemorative tickets is a Ticketmaster subsidiary and that it's a legal obligation to use them.
    I don't really blame 10Club for this.  It's business AND it's Ticketbastard.

    Looks like "TicketsToday" also handles DMB and Phish ticketing.  Partners include LiveNation/Ticketmaster.  So they probably could have done some custom tickets, but thats probably a colossal pain and super time consuming (and would likely drive the price way past $2, which would cause more complaining).  If they had provided paper tix for the tour, they would be generic, so thats what this is.  And the cost is pretty similar.  I know everyone wanted a really cool looking commemorative ticket... maybe next time, I guess???  As an aside, it will be interesting to see if they use the same generic ticketmaster paper for all of the events, or if it will vary based on venue (Fenway and Wrigley have their own unique tickets, not sure on Missoula).

    Okay, i didn't think it would be much, but that is not much money at all. 

    I'd be willing to help some out if they want it. No problem dropping a couple of tickets in a few envelopes and mailing them out. Up to a certain point $$$$$

    This is from the USPS site. To Canada you don’t have many options it’s either $1.15 or flat rate.
