nope, for the gym. I won't boycott them, they make good athletic gear. I do believe this marketing stunt was a poor business decision, however.Hi! said:

Their products are of high quality in my opinion as well. Ive also read their sales have soared in the time right after this "stunt" as you call it. I think it was a great idea by Nike. Considering what the black athletes have done for their brand, I think it was a great choice for them to take a stand.buck502000 said:

It's so interesting that you say that. Here's an excellent article from NRO addressing that very issue. And the byline addresses Buck to a tee, evidently..buck502000 said:

Nike is winning Colin Kapernick Wars..
The public cares about products far more than politics.

Fox News is really doing some groundbreaking reporting here.0 -

anytime you alienate any of your customers, it's a bad move. Short-term boost, but it will hurt long-term sales.

I doubt it. No action will please everybody. Better to alienate a few of the dinosaurs and in the process capture many new customers.my small self... like a book amongst the many on a shelf0 -

Not if it draws a positive distinction against a competitor, it isn't bad. Nike knows who buys 5 pairs of shoes a year... and it's not 55 year old white guys. Nike knows how Colin is perceived in the international market. They have now drawn, in their mind, a positive distinction against Under Armour and Adidas. It's actually a brilliant move.buck502000 said:anytime you alienate any of your customers, it's a bad move. Short-term boost, but it will hurt long-term sales.0 -

Short-term boost, but it will hurt long-term sales. It doesn't.What Nike did was alienate customers they didn't care about anyhow, and gave itself a long-term boost by ingratiating itself with the customers they do care about. As someone already stated, Nike isn't worried about losing their moronic racist American patriot-crowing white customers (which I'm going to say, on a positive note, doesn't include very many people at all in the scheme of things). Clearly.Post edited by PJ_Soul onWith all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0 -

A bad business move would be trying to appease every customer's personal fetishes. It's not like they promoted violence and hate. It's a hopeless situation...0 -
Keep betting against Bruce & Nike lol0
