Fugazi is probably equal to Pavement. good call there.

Superchunk- NO WAY, JOSE'  and I am from North Carolina.

And Guided By Voices would be another one I would put up there

Like em. but not as much as SM and Spiral Stairs and Mr. Westy and Mr. Ibold and Mr. Nastonavich.

I would like to see a drinking contest between Robert Pollard and Bob Nastonavich.

I’ve been with Pollard drinking. It’s an amazing thing to see. They did a show in philly for a radio station. Big festival show and they went into every bands dressing room and stole all their beer.

Those are the only 2 guys I have ever seen that could kill a case of beer during a 2 hour concert.

It's sorta funny how difficult it is to do this for the US bands but if we were to do the UK bands, it would really be between The Beatles, The Stones, and Led Zep. Sure you could mention other bands like Pink Floyd, The Who, The Kinks, and The Clash but really your just naming them to round out a top 5 or top 10 list.
If you did this as a worldwide list you'd probably end up with those three bands at the top, and also Pink Floyd and The Who in the top 10.
