Stunning. I am thrilled for you and envious. I hope you stare at it every day for at least 10 minutes....SJD3232 said:She’s finally home!

CurtisTWright said:Apologies because this has been asked before, no question...but what cost should I expect to get a poster framed in Canada? What should I 'ask' for. Some of you have done yours up beautifully.I'm not sure about Canadian cost but as far as what to ask for, make sure any mats you use are neutral pH or acid-free (these essentially mean the same thing, some manufactuerers just call them one or the other). This will prevent any discoloration, fading, bleeding of the mat onto the poster or vice versa. Also ask for a museum grade or conservation grade glass, even better if it's non-glare. This will block out harmful UV rays which can fade colors over time.I personally like to keep mine simple, similar to the ones directly above. Black, rectangular frame, double matted black on top, accent color on bottom.

Question, is museum grade conservation glass necessary when there is no exposure to sunlight? My prints are going into the new bar/den area of our basement. There is no natural light as it's totally underground.HesCalledDyer said:CurtisTWright said:Apologies because this has been asked before, no question...but what cost should I expect to get a poster framed in Canada? It's always a good step to take to be on the safe side, but it's not absolutely necessary in your case so save yourself the cost (glass is where most of the cost of framing is absorbed). Most household light bulbs do emit UV rays but the amounts are small enough to be negligible. LED is the best option as they emit almost no UV rays, then incandescent with very small amounts. Use fluorescent lights sparingly or not at all.JB56195 said:

Man the framer suggested a gray color as well if I didn't go yellow! It does look pretty solid with gray!JeremyV135 said:

I hope he sees this and posts, IIRC he was in Richmond, VA? I would drive a few of my high end posters down there from the DC area if he would make himself available again.sherm said:

I have his card somewhere. I want to say it was West End Framing? Richmond Virginia sounds right to me. I kind of just assumed that maybe the poster runs he did for us got too out of hand volume wise. I could be wrong though.pulling69 said:
