Wondering this myself. Was the 8AM lineup time strictly enforced?

When we walked out of Wrigley last night the same people who were on the rail were already at the front of the Wrigley 2 GA line. Security is aware of the line and has no issues with it.

Those people must not have busy lives if they are okay wasting vacation time on a sidewalk.   Good for them I guess.

I would hate that too.  Stay at home if you just want to sit around all day.  Save the money.

I like camping out for GA and have been trying to get details about Monday line. I walked by where the line is supposed to be around 4 pm today- there was no one lined up. If there is an unofficial line somewhere else at least give others a head’s up about it.

Or if there’s an unofficial line for the official unofficial line for the official line.

I assume the unofficial line for the official unofficial line is just loitering under the L tracks at 7:59 am in running shoes.

If there is an unofficial line elsewhere, I hope a decent size group finds its way to the beginning of the line first. The rules specify the line is not to form until 8am. I hope this is enforced strictly. The people lined up immediately after the show on Saturday are clearly ignoring this. It is ridiculous.

I hope it’s strictly enforced, too. But I also know there were people forming an unofficial line at Murphy’s before the Saturday show, and I saw posts saying people were already in line at 5 am on Saturday. Were those people tossed out of the line at 8 am? Or did security let people line up early?

I think the 5 am start was permitted.

Camping was not allowed, but the line did form around the L train track at 5 AM. John the guy in lined up 4 days before the show in 2016 was not actually first but pretty close.

You’re good. There were coolers everywhere on Saturday. You’re on a residential city street so no one can tell you not to have a cooler. Be careful with the alcohol though.

I really wish they would move to the system that Bruce uses with the random drawing for the GA line.
Pre-line lines, unofficial lines, lists, people cutting in with their friends, it is all too much for me.
EV even said on Saturday that he was seeing a lot of familiar faces in the front.  I get that a lot of those people “earn” those spots by getting there early but I have also heard of a lot of others who know how to work the system to protect “their” spot on the rail.

My wife and I thought it was funny that EV spent a few minutes on Saturday talking about the people who had camped out for the rail.  I guess he did not get the memo about no line-up until 8am.

The whole point of ga was to let different people up front and time and time again we hear of people leaving show number one and immediately lining up for show number two. It seems rather unfair to me especially since they aren’t allowed to line up until 8am today.  However we now have unofficial lines? I just don’t get it.
