The age old debate, night one or two??

Pros night one: saying hello, excitement, mystery, anticipation.

Pros night two: sentimentality, saying goodbye, comfort and familiarity, longer set, better acoustic understanding, motivation to top night one.

Input, ideas? Guess which show I'll be at??

Sure it matters. Hello  is always different than goodbye. Good  bad or indifferent, the atmosphere is different

    Always both.
But if one has to choose, ALWAYS night two IMO. Bands have to deal with way more shit before any night 1, and they've likely been travelling right before it too. They are always more relaxed and better rested on night twos, no matter who the band is.

It used to be that night 2 was almost always better. These days it could go either way.

Night 2. There are exceptions (Worcester) but more often than not, night 2 is the way to go.

Both Fenway shows were incredible; however, I prefer N1.

I forget the bootleg, but Eddie goes on that the true best show of a tour is the Penultimate show (he was joking as that was the concert/bootleg), BUT clearly Fenway 1 will be tops :-)

I couldn’t imagine only going to night 1 in any case, but this instance must of hurt big time.

Fenway night 1 will certainly test night 2.  Band will be coming off nearly 2 weeks of rest, holiday weekend with many in the crowd having the next day off.  But Fenway 2 is the last show of the tour, obviously, and who knows what they'll pull out for that.  Either way, going to be fun.
