I can't believe I am eating KD again!

Kraft Dinner......again tonight! It is so un-healthy! Last night I almost ate a whole box and said I would not eat it again for a long long time! NOw I am in the midst of making more tonight! @ 9:30p.m!! They say you should not eat after 7 BUT...I got off work at 7:45p.m....so I need to eat! and KD is quick I guess...

(but sometimes....if I am starving...and "its not weird", I eat eggs for dinner...as I mentioned in that last thread about eating breakfast for dinner :p)....

Wow....Just had to say something...I think there is something addictive in that stuff...

ANyone with me on the late night KD?...

    problem is that it's so easy to eat an entire box.

    Oh my god!! I LOVE Kraft Dinner....I have KD fridge magnets...and when I was in high school, I applied for the Kraft Dinner scholarship!

    My grandfather used to call me "Kraft Witch" (instead of witchcraft)....

    Alas, this new healthy way I'm eating does not allow for KD...and I'm dying!!

    Our favourit comfort meal was KD, Ravioli (Chef-Boy-R-D), and a can of del monte french cut herbed string beans....great for a cold rainy night...

    Well, the string beans come in a can - I think they might be called "French Cut Green Beans" now...and the scholarship...that was for University... it was $500, too. But that was a long time ago, and I don't think they offer it anymore....and I didn't get it anyway...

    But yeah - KD has been part of my llfe forever...

    Here's a trick...don't boil the noodles for 5 minutes - it makes them mushy...and add the butter first, then the cheese, and then only like a teaspoon or tsp and half of milk...just a splash, and certainly not 1/4 cup! I actually taught a couple of residents at the psych facility at which I used to work how to make KD properly...and it HAS to be KD, no other brand tastes the same...

    That is exactly how I just made my KD....only a little milk and the right amount of butter. I used to like a lot of milk when I was little!....and lots of ketchup...it would make KD soup...yum! haha...
    p.s sorry to hear about the no scholarship! It was probably hard to get!

    There is nothing like the original...the rest taste awful...except for President's Choice White Cheddar macaroni....and add lots of ground pepper...yum!

    Do they still make the Deluxe version? I remember growing up and feeling rich when mom would break out the Deluxe box with the pre-made cheese.

    KraftDinner as in Mac n CHEESE??!!!! I hadd that the other day because Black Diamond kept mentioning his GOURMET mac n cheese so i pretended! :eek:

    I love KD.  When I was overseas at uni for a year I had my husband ship me a case of it.  I missed it so much.

    My kids love it, but my wife insists on making them have a vegetable with it, and now they insist on having peas IN their KD. They call it MACAP (Macaroni And Cheese And Peas). They won't eat KD without peas now.

    Yes! PC white cheddar is super good! I will never choose KD over PC brand mac n white cheese, and it's cheaper too, with way better noodles. KD noodles are too small and straight, lol. But either way, I always dress it up when preparing it. I add extra, good quality cheeses, and a good amount of sour cream, and some herbs and spices. Yum!
