    With Prague it was simply because the show editions were sold out and the AP sale was the following day - was about the same price plus shipping. 
    So, sometimes I go for the AP if I miss the poster at the show. I tend to only buy posters of shows I go to as a souvenir.
    Sometimes I like to have an AP if it was an amazing print or if the show was especially amazing...

    The times for me when I really go after n AP is when there is a variant design to the show. Only if I really love the design though, I cannot afford to just have everything.... As my wife keeps reminding me!!!  For example Brad Klausen did the EV London show poster and it was in different colours.. It was a London show and a great design so I was keen to try and get that...

    I received a numbered and unsigned print once. The artist covered shipping back to him and signed it and returned it for me. He was in the states though so it made things easier

    Update: e-mailed Matt yesterday and explained, he's replied this morning, apologised and is happy to cover postage costs and sign it if I return it to him.  =)
